Let's Get Physical

This Tuesday's Travel Tip is about staying fit - physically, mentally, financially, spiritually and emotionally (all the lees). When we take care of these 'lees', we prepare ourselves to live a better, healthier and more fulfilling life. And for me, that means being able to travel more and farther.


Today I had my yearly health assessment, and was so pleased to learn that not only did I drop eight pounds (without even trying), but my BMI and fat mass have improved too! Life is not about trying to be perfect, but about doing what's perfect for you! Yes, I eat a lot and even have traveled to some places just to eat their authentic food. I balance all that eating with walking a lot while traveling, as it allows me to see more and find those hidden gems that I wouldn't if I was in a vehicle. Learning to slow down and take the longer, more scenic route is heart healthy, helps clear your mind, gives you time to meditate, and saves money. At the end of the day, it even affords you the opportunity to have that scoop of ice cream, slice of pie/cake, or whatever your guilty pleasure is, without the guilt.


Moral of the story, just travel so you can activate your lees and stay healthy! :)
